Scam information, keep your guard up against these unsolicited calls

Beware of the National Crime Agency Scam regarding suspension of your National Insurance Number. A distressed client contacted the Colin Office today as she had been contacted by someone claiming to be from the NCA saying her phone had been used for illegal activities and her accounts and National Insurance numbers would be suspended and asked her to contact an officer immediately by pressing 1. On this occasion the Mobile Number used was 0727038xxxx. These calls are NOT genuine, and should be ignored. NCA will never contact you about your bank account or National Insurance number. If you've been scammed report online or call on 0300 123 2040. If it is a 'Call for Service' report it direct to the PSNI. Call 101, or if you are in immediate danger call 999.
